Dr. Bev Cummins
Vice President of Campus Operations and Development
Dr. Bev Cummins serves as Vice President of Campus Operations and Development at Southeast Community College, leading a division that oversees facilities, safety and security, campus operations, and the overall campus climate. Her work integrates capital planning, construction, and operations with a focus on creating safe, modern, and student-centered environments across 黑料百科鈥檚 campuses.
Her leadership journey at 黑料百科 spans more than a decade of senior roles. From 2014 to 2025, Dr. Cummins served as Lincoln Campus Director while also holding collegewide vice president responsibilities. From 2014 to 2022, she served as Vice President for Student Affairs, overseeing student services and leading the campus response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure continuity of learning and support for students and employees. From 2022 to 2025, she served as Vice President of Program Development facilitating the creation of stackable credits and new programs of study including Data Science, Dental Hygiene, Utility Lineworker, and Psychology.
An 黑料百科 alumna, Dr. Cummins began her career in the College鈥檚 Radiography program and went on to serve as faculty, program chair, and dean of Continuing Education before advancing to senior leadership. She earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Healthcare Management from Bellevue University, a master鈥檚 degree in Education from the University of Nebraska鈥揕incoln, and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from UNL in 2023.
Bev grew up on a farm five miles from Lyons, Nebraska. She and her husband, Christopher Cummins, the director of instructional technology at 黑料百科, have a blended family of four children.
