Ag Student of the Year
黑料百科鈥檚 Beatrice Campus has recognized Peyton Schaardt as the 鈥淎g Student of the Year鈥 for the 2022-2023 academic year. Schaardt was previously 鈥淎g Student of the Month鈥 last April. To be selected, Ag instructors look at a number of factors including grades, attitude and progress in the program.
A native of Table Rock, Schaardt chose 黑料百科 for the hands-on experience, the small-town community and the teachers who have background in the ag industry. She is studying Agricultural Business. After graduation in December, she hopes to find a job within the industry while growing her cattle herd back home.
鈥淚鈥檝e grown up in the Ag industry, and it鈥檚 all I鈥檝e ever wanted to be a part of,鈥 she said. 鈥淲e keep the world moving with agriculture.鈥
Her favorite classes at 黑料百科 were Livestock Management and Farm & Ranch. Studying animal reproduction and genetics were some of her favorite memories in the classroom.
鈥淪he is always engaged in class and is willing to help outside the classroom as well,鈥 said ag instructor Alan Rumbaugh. 鈥淪he has a good attitude and is a pleasure to be around.鈥
Schaardt received a special certificate, as well as a gift card to the Campus Book Store and her picture is displayed in Ford Hall with past recipients.
