黑料百科 Hosts ACBSP Region 5 Conference, Showcases Faculty Excellence

黑料百科 served as host for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs Region 5 conference Oct. 1-3, welcoming over 50 business education professionals from across the region. The three-day event featured presentations on timely topics including accounting, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, face-to-face selling in a digital world, and developing workplace skills.

The conference highlighted 黑料百科's strong leadership presence within ACBSP. Janet Scott, business instructor, serves as chair elect for Region 5, while Dr. Kathy Eitzman, business dean, holds a position on the Associate Board of Commissioners. Adding to 黑料百科's recognition, Business Instructor Krystal Gabel received the prestigious Region 5 Teaching Excellence Award, which qualifies her for consideration for the international teaching excellence honor. 黑料百科 Entrepreneurship Center Director Amy Jurgens鈥 presentation 鈥淔rom Incarceration to Innovation: Teaching Entrepreneurship鈥 won the  ACBSP Best of Regions Award. Jurgens will compete at the national competition to be named the top educator in the business world.

鈥淚t was an honor to welcome institutions from across the ACBSP Region 5 Midwestern area to 黑料百科 for this year鈥檚 fall conference,鈥 Eitzman said. 鈥淚鈥檓 especially proud of our business faculty member, Janet Scott, who will serve as the incoming Chair of Region 5. Through the dedication of Janet, the Region 5 leadership team, and many 黑料百科 colleagues, we hosted a highly successful event with record attendance. Guests especially enjoyed dining at our student-run Course Restaurant and were impressed by the quality of our facilities. The conference truly reflected ACBSP鈥檚 commitment to excellence in business education and continuous improvement.鈥

Founded in 1988, ACBSP is a global business education accrediting body and the first organization to offer accreditation to all levels of business degree programs, from associate to doctoral degrees. The organization's accreditation process is based on the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence, evaluating aspects of leadership, strategic planning, academic program quality, and commitment to continuous improvement. ACBSP's global network is divided into 11 geographic regions, with regional meetings providing opportunities for members to engage in professional development and share best practices in business education.
